Jake is a PhD student from MCB graduate program. He works on the microRNA-mediated mechanisms which control the differentiation of naïve T cells into exhausted or memory T cells. Jake is studying the role of let-7 microRNAs in the differentiation of CD8 T cells using specialized mouse models either expressing high or low amounts of let-7. Specifically, he is investigating the roles of the Notch receptors and reactive oxygen species signaling and how they program T cell fate.
